One such huge change that occurred in our life is COVID- 19 Pandemic. Our lives have turned upside down. It has taught us to be ever ready for sudden changes. It has shown us the new insights of living and working. Long-term implications of this are still unknown. But workforce transformation and the need for digitally enabled jobs will definitely enhance.


The role of HR has already been redefined. I feel now they have to rethink and propose new ways of working. Amol Gupta, The People Leader, India says “Pandemic is shifting how we live and do business and will accelerate the 4th Industrial Revolution – fueled by smart technologies such as AI, BOTs, cloud and mobile computers. Some entirely new roles are going to emerge with the prediction of changes that are going to occur in near future.”


Cognizant, an American multinational corporation has been releasing annual reports on the future of jobs since 2017. This time I came across a very interesting study by Cognizant that states 21 HR Jobs for Future. Cognizant researchers say, “The common thread among all these jobs is making good – at long last – on HR’s promise to connect people and business strategy to the new, exciting and lasting frontiers of the future of work,”.


These future jobs are going to meet the needs of a new workforce shaped by advanced technology.


I would like to share these Futuristic HR jobs that organizations will be looking forward to in near future.


1. HR Data Detective

HR department completely performs a data-driven function. It provides insight and analysis to executives to ensure a high-performance workforce. The biggest obstacle that occurs here is to find clean and accurate data. HR data detective will bridge this gap. He will be the one to gather, compile, and ensure the availability of quality data resulting in lasting results for the whole business.


2. WFH Facilitator

COVID-19 has shifted many organizations to work from home to focus on the health of employees, customers, and communities. Soon when this new normal will be followed in a full-fledged way the need for WFH Facilitator will be a must. He will be the one to make sure that the employees are well equipped with all the required resources and technology. He will have to check, budget, and integrate new digital collaboration tools.
